Heard something about people hearing back today…can anyone confirm or deny?
I got an update in my portal this afternoon saying that I didn’t get the Paul Tulane Award, but that they were increasing my merit award

Does your portal show that you had applied? My daughter thought she did and spent quite a bit of time on the essay but it doesn’t show?
I heard back as well, received the award! Super unexpected and very exciting!

Congrats, @Archlover! How fantastic. My D did not get a Paul Tulane – she heard thru email with the same info listed on another thread (3000 applications, very competitive). We did not hear about FA nor DHS (some heard about more aid today, but we did not). Still waiting for final COA but D’s heart is hoping for Tulane.
Received the PTA, super grateful and thoroughly surprised!!!

My portal has no update, but it says that it was submitted. Did you guys get an email that it was updated?
Where do you see on the portal that it was awarded/denied? I know my daughter applied, but I don’t see that information anywhere. In fact, I don’t see anything on Greenwave or Gibson even indicating that she applied for it. Where exactly are you looking?
We have the same situation.
Go to the portal and click where it says early action application. it will show updated letters
D didn’t get PTA or DHS but they upped her merit from $25k to $35k!
@proudmama2016 , did you get an update about the DHS?
@am4158, NOPE! Don’t know if I’ll have any fingernails left. We’re assuming we’ll hear on Financial Aid, then the DHS - or get the rejection note for the DHS with our package like everyone else. Her DHS project turned out really well, but with 1200 entries, it’s highly unlikely… Just need to know if we can afford the COA, or what we’ll do. Hope to be able to compare to other schools by mid-March, unless by some miracle FinAid or DHS come thru for us. How about you, @am4158?

We have the same situation. Didn’t get the PTA and waiting for Financial Aid and word on the DHS.

With thousands of applications for Finaid, I bet it will take a while to get thru all. In the meantime, I now spend time on my new addiction: surfing CC.
My son did not get DHS or Paul Tulane - 30 grand is nice for a merit award - but - he’s been offered full rides elsewhere - no reason to spend 20 grand a year if you don’t have to - there is still hope with STAMPS
For anyone here who still has not heard back (which is kind of strange as I heard back several days ago) they indicated in the rejection that there were 3000 applicants this year! We are, for better or for worse, a competitive generation, it seems.
