PAVE at Vanderbilt 2012

I’m from Boston, MA, and I have no idea which hall I’m supposed to be in.

Huh, the thing I got said which one I don’t know why

hey, guys! i was at pave last year and since this is an easy question, i figured i’d let you all know. girls stay in vanderbilt hall and boys stay in barnard hall. they’re in the same building (girls stay in their own wing, boys in their own wing) but there’s a common area on the ground floor and a basement with laundry/study rooms/practice rooms/etc.

Anyone think PAVE is little more than a high priced recruitment tool that Vandy uses to snare STEM applicants–the high price being paid by the students?

Thanks wauwa1 for clearing that up!

I got accepted to PAVE also  I’m from Kansas City, will probably be like the only person there from my state. Or maybe not, but that’s what happened last year when I went to a 2-week thing in Michigan. Anyway so I’m glad I found this thread, now I know which hall I’ll be staying in.

Columbia Maryland! I’m so excited for this program. Absolutely it serves as a recruiting tool for Vandy, but hopefully we get a lot out of it too!

@wauwa1 did you get enough time to practice for your ACT/SATs?

Hey I’m from North Jersey also for whoever said that! And I just had a question on bringing a car to PAVE for the summer. I have my own car so I thought that it’d be a good idea to have it with me so that I’d have the freedom to do things while I’m in the beautiful city of Nashville.

Anyone have thoughts on this?

Thanks, and I’m very excited to see you all and good luck to the people who are on the wait list!

There was something on the online forms about bringing a car and letting them know so you can get a spot and they know that the vehicle belongs to someone in the program

Hi, Was anyone on the wait list? If so, what number were you? Thanks!

I was and it just said within the top 10

Hi, Thank you for the response. Has anyone else gotten off the wait list? If so, what number were you? Thank you!
