Pay a fee for AP credit?

<p>In general, do students have to pay a fee to the college for AP credits they use at the college. Thanks.</p>

<p>Not at my school (Carnegie Mellon), though sometimes an additional placement test is required.</p>

<p>Thanks. I figured out why I was confused. There is a fee for "placement by examination" tests but apparently not AP tests.This is at Penn State</p>

<p>Yes. At my school (UT Austin), we have to pay 4 dollars per credit we use from our AP or IB scores. So far from the grades I have received it is going to be near 150 dollars just for claiming credit.</p>

<p>WOW grandpabuzz! You must be starting off close to junior status. Congrats!! Penn State asks you to pay $10 total for processing fee no matter how many credits you get (just got this in the mail today)</p>
