Pay for Grades ?

I have recently come to know that my school is willing to upgrade my marks in classes 9th,10th,11th,12th for a certain amount of money that I will not disclose . Although my grades are not that bad , I am tempted to get them to the top . I have also learned that several students from my school have done this in the past, however my school will not let me know their names . I want to ask you guys is this too risky to do ? I mean If I upgrade my CGPA to 10 but then if the colleges ask for my CCE certificate later I would probably be S-C-R-E-W-E-D right ? Also please don’t tell me the reasons I should be a good kid and not indulge into such things ( Its my decision and all i’m asking for is an opinion about the risks involved ). .

I think you already know the answer to this.

This is just an assumption . It is rare that colleges ever ask for that particular certificate ( to what I know ) . All i’m looking for is cases related to up scaling . If I don’t find any , Ill be happy to continue with the process .

What is the benefit of doing this - will it really matter?

Since nobody knows how Indian grades are viewed by colleges , the benefit is unknown . However like any other system around the world - better grades = better chances of acceptance .

Depends what your ACT/SAT scores are.

And just like any other system around the world, fraud = getting rejected or kicked out. Come on.

New SAT - 1420 / 1600.

The chances of getting caught against the chances of not are 5/95 .

Since none of you are from India , I highly advise you not to participate in this discussion . You do not know what I’m talking about .

@fucsbse, fraud is fraud whatever country you live in.

Well let’s think about this for a moment. I may not know what exactly you are talking about, but what I do know is that you are going to try and cheat your way into college. Your cheating could screw a honest and, most likely, better applicant than you out of a spot. Even if you don’t get caught and go to the college I’m sure that you will struggle as you are not good enough to be at the college you got into with false grades. You should not be dishonest as there is no reason to be just apply and then what happens is all for the best.

For me ,

low gpa , good college > good gpa , low college .

So, you’re basically coming on here and asking for our collective advice on how to cheat the system?!

Why is this thread even allowed?

Honesty > cheating, ALWAYS.

@fucbse I don’t care which country you’re from. What you are thinking of doing is fraudulent, and if you get caught, you risk getting kicked out, and even forfeiting your college diploma if you were to graduate from such university (those things have happened before in the past).

Honesty beats getting into a good college unethically.

I agree with @doschicos, I don’t see any point in this thread.

Okay Okay , sorry . I didn’t know this would escalate to such an extent . And seeing all of your inputs , I wont do it .
