Pretty much the situation here is that my estimated, remaining cost as an out of state applicant is $13,000 per year. This feels like a LOT of money to just earn while I’m going to college. Is there some source of financial aid I’m missing? This is freaking me out because there are already federal loans figured into that and they’re gonna have interest. I’m like freaking out and I really want to go to Alabama, please tell me there’s a way for me to go here that I’m missing.
That’s the money your parents are supposed to pay.
Is that 13K for tuition, or the full bill including housing and food, books, transportation, personal expenses?
The university’s not expecting you to earn that much - a college student may earn $3,000 working full time over the summer and about $1,500 per semester working about 10 hours a week.
What’s your EFC?
Have you applied to the Honors college (do you qualify for it)?
Why are you applying to an OOS public university? What are your options in your home state?
