I am going to be a senior next year; I already took all the Ap classes available in my schol. I want to do a dual enrollment through a local college or community college but I can't afford to pay for the classes myself. Is there any alternative way to help me pay for the classes?

You really need to look locally to see what might be available. Start with your guidance counselor or school administration. Contact the CC or local college you are interested in. There may be resources to help local high school students who demonstrate talent but need financial assistance.

What state are you in? Can you find anything on the websites of the colleges you want to dual enroll at?

I am NY. I already talked to an admission officier and they don’t any financial aid for part time student.

Did you talk to your guidance counselor? It’s a long shot but they might know of something to help you. Otherwise, you may have to do independent study or perhaps one of the free online courses would work out for you. Does your school have access to any online courses you could take–some states run them for schools that don’t offer many APs.

Keep in mind that you also have to pay for transportation if you take a class off your campus.

I did talk talk to my counselor but he told me that the only option have at this point is pay for it myself. The college is at walking distance from my house. It a suny(ny state school)
