What is the best way to pay for housing?

well, every year you have your initial payment, which you choose to do in full or in two parts.
then you choose how you want to pay for the rest of the year: monthly or quarterly. if you choose "in full" you pay for the entire year at your initial payment, so that's a moot point.
monthly means 8 payments, sept-april.
quarterly means 3 payments, october, january, and april.
it's up to you which is best. do you want the hassle of every month? do you want to get it out of the way? or do you prefer 3 big lumps (which unfortunately coincide with tuition payments, so you get 3 REALLY big lumps of money due throughout the year).
so, up to you. housing site has plenty of links on this and other things, just surf around.

Oh and be sure to check out the AskHousing forum (or whatever it's called on the housing website). They respond very quickly. Nothing only that, they have a large database of FAQ.

That happened to me when I was doing the deposit. The email is usually right DX I submitted my Housing deposit an hour after the deadline because I thought I submitted it a day before. You can check your money balance from where you sent it and see if they took the money yet, which is usually the case. Otherwise, go and submit it again >_>;;
