If I really want to go to NYU for finance and can’t pay that much should I go there for undergrad or graduate?
Yes, you should go to any college for cheap before paying big bucks at NYU for undergrad. NYU is ridiculously expensive for undergrad and not worth it if you aren’t really wealthy or getting a huge scholarship.
If you can’t pay, how are you going to attend? You’ve asked about NYU several times. Have you run their Net Price Calculator? Can your parents afford to pay what it will cost, and pay for your 2 siblings’ colleges too? If not, don’t bother applying there.
You and your twin are juniors now and your family income is ~$100-120k, is that right? Focus on schools that will give you merit for your stats and/or that your parents can pay for out-of-pocket. You should read the guaranteed merit thread in the financial aid forum to get an idea which schools might give you aid.
Run the net price calculator. If NYU is too expensive, save it for grad school - if you get into a PHD program, it’ll be funded and they’ll PAY YOU to attend! (NEVER attend a PHD program if it’s not funded.)
With 2 in college at the same time and 100-120k income, you’d get a lot of need-based aid at “meet need” colleges. Look into those. Add colleges with good merit for your stats.
In the meanwhile, investigate Macaulay, Manhattan, Barnard, Fordham. Then, look at Marist, Vassar, Suny New Paltz, Stevens, SUNY Stony Brook, Manhattanville, Siena.
Run the NPC on all of those.
Does your family have $70K/year hanging around? If not don’t attend for undergrad
