Essays and Recommendations:
I would say pretty good.

uhhh id say low reach?

your standardized test scores and GPA are low, even for Steinhardt. MCC is one of the more competitive majors. (I’m also an MCC student.) you don’t have many media related ECs, maybe yearbook, but that’s a pretty common EC.

maybe wait and see what your standardized test scores end up being.

I’ve been told that even if GPA and standardized tests are mediocre but a student is able to pay full tuition, NYU is likely to accept because of economic status…

i don’t know where you heard that, but no. if they don’t take you, there will be someone else with higher stats who is STILL willing to pay out of pocket. sorry, but that’s the name of the game.

i’d say a solid reach rather than a low one

everything i’ve found about nyu has said that they look at apps independent of financial aid. that’s also what the rep from nyu said when she visited my school last year… and what i heard on the nyu tour. so i could be wrong on this, but i’m pretty sure financial aid has little to do with whether or not you get in.
