<p>For those of you who will begin payments soon.....</p>
<p>Pay tuition on a credit card that will earn you airline points for dollars paid. Not sure if all schools accept cards (?) - but I use a Jet Blue American Express to pay my son's tuition. Between those hefty payments and a few trips to see him, I have now have earned a free flight!</p>
<p>Might as well put those dollars to work....</p>
<p>As MTMama suggests, not all schools allow payment by credit card, and those that do, do not necessarily accept all credit cards. NYU contracts with a company which will accept payments by select credit cards, however, there is a 2.5% service charge. This could end up being a similar amount to a couple of 'free' flights so it's best to be sure you know exactly how these credit card payments work at your child's school.</p>
<p>Well, yes - it would be better to not use credit cards at all! Just an idea for others, like me, who don't always have the cash flow to write tuition checks....</p>
