<p>So Brown is the only school that makes you pay before you submit the Common App portion of the application. The problem is that it takes a couple days until the system recognizes the payment, so it is impossible to send the Common App (relatively important…) Any help?</p>
<p>I would pay via check. That way you can submit your application and just send the check via mail.</p>
<p>1st: you should be fine, Brown extended their deadline to the 4th. 2nd, if you’re not going to make that deadline, you may be able to switch to “pay by check,” submit your application and send in your check. If it’s postmarked before the 4th you’ll be fine. (And other schools, like Stanford, apparently do the same thing).</p>

<p>So I did as suggested in the post above and checked the box that I am going to mail a check. The other schools that I used my credit card with have all posted the times I paid, but the Brown one still hasn’t even though I paid at the same time as all of the others. Should I be worried?</p>
