On the application, it says I paid on the day that I did the credit card stuff. However, on the receipt, it says it will not be processed until 1/3/11, after the deadline. Is that okay?

Yes, that’s fine. Many credit card transactions take a day or two to process whether you’re paying application fees or buying toilet paper. If the Payment page in Common App Online recognizes your payment then you are good to go.

I am in the exact same boat as the OP. Yeah i’m geekin out.

Here’s my concern: Though you are allowed to SUBMIT your common app/supplement after credit card payment, the Common Application will not send your application to the college until payment it processed. So, in our case… January 3rd.

If colleges really are lenient, this is irrelevant. But I have a terrible feeling that I am screwed, especially with how competitive Yale, Harvard, etc are.

redzerb - The Common App Online will not hold up your application until the payment clears the bank. If the Payment page indicates that you paid for a particular college, then you’re free to submit. Once you submit your Common App Online or a college supplement it will be accessible to colleges.

thank you soooo much boosky
