Can someone help me out? I just got an e-mail from Davis reminding me to pay my student fees for fall term.
It says:
“You are required to make payment or have adequate financial aid
funds disbursed (see financial aid paragraph below) by September 18, 2008. Payments may
be submitted by 11:59 p.m. online through [University of California, Davis](http://mybill.ucdavis.edu), or in
person at the Cashier’s Office by 4:00 p.m.”

So, I go to mybill.ucdavis.edu and all it has is this:
Statement Amount:$-1,572.88
Total Balance:$6,574.79

Can someone please help me figure out what all that means? I also signed up for Direct Deposit, if that means anything.

That means you'll actually be getting that negative amount from UCD (ex: phoenix will be getting $2,000 from UCD through Direct deposit/a check). At this moment, you don't owe UCD anything.

mine has a positive on account balance and also positive charged to student account(fall fees). Do i have to wait more? I dont know if they auto balanced it all. yet (since i had to email them recently about issues)

Can someone help me too?
My statement says 3066.20 and my total balance recently went down from $6,671.72 to 1,425.72. Is that because my financial aid kicked in? I was wondering...I received enough in financial aid to cover the statement so do I have to worry about paying it? Or like will they just deduct 3066.20 from the financial aid that I'm receiving this term? If it makes any difference I've signed up for direct deposit.

Apparently, you pay the total balance of $1,425.72. Check your eFan to see if the numbers add up correctly because mine wasn't, two of my grants were not dispersed. Yep, the financial aid was subtracted from your total balance.

I did some searching and for this question, "How do we know if there's enough in there to cover housing?". The answer is that if your total balance positive, your financial aid is not enough, you have to have. If the total balance is negative, you are owed money.

haha funny idiot i am...
they cancelled some of my grants cuz on the verification form i put i was only 1 child going to college this year while on the FAFSA i put two (two being correct as my sister is also going to college). I got confused on the verification sheet by the wording :( hope my email apologizing for my blunder will make them change it and give me back my grants

So I pay the total balance of $1,425.72? But that doesn't make sense. Cause on the front page, the amount I have to pay is $ 3,066.20. And also, it seems like everyone has a negative number for Statement Amount meaning their financial aid kicked in. If my financial aid kicked in, shouldn't my statement amount be a negative number? Why did the total balance go down to $1,425.72. Shouldn't my total balance remain $6,671.72? and my statement amount should be negative.

This is what it looks like:

Statement Amount: $3,066.20
Total Balance: $1,425.72

OK, guys go to Sisweb > Student Services and Financial Aid > Student Account > Account Summary. Everything is so much clearer.

The total Charge minus Credits and Payments = Account Balance.
Account Balance = Total Balance on MyBill. You pay the total balance.

I seriously don't why the Statement Amount is there, it just confuses people.

Spagmonster, you pay $1,425.72. Is your total financial aid more than your total charges? If so, then you should have a negative amount. Mine is supposed to be negative too, but I realized some of my grants weren't dispersed. You might have the same problem since it seems like you think you have enough financial aid. You should check to see if your eFan awards and MyBill/Sisweb's Account Summary are both the same.

The best thing is to call financial aid or student accounting depending on your question.

I have enough financial aid to cover the fall registration fee's but not registration fees and housing together. So since the deadline is today, I'm wondering if I need to pay anything or will the registration fee just be deducted from the financial aid. Then I could pay the remaining balance when the due date for housing comes along? Appreciate the help.
