Payment questions!!!!!

So... I have been accepted to the Harpur School! I have not yet payed my deposits, but I have a few questions:
1)When is the due date for paying the tuiton and fees?
2)What is the procedure for paying them?
3)What is the deadline for registering for dormitory?

Thank you very much!!

Hi! My name is Rob and I’m a Binghamton University Student Ambassador.

You will receive the bill for the Fall semester in August if you decide to attend. The due date on the bill will most likely be at the end of August. You will receive an e-mail stating that you have a balance, which will contain instructions on how to log-in online and pay. Typically, students pay by credit/debit card online, since it makes things very easy, but you could also pay by check. You are billed by semester, so you only pay for the fall in August, and you would receive a separate bill for the spring in January. We also offer payment plans for students who wish to pay in increments - this generally is composed of paying multiple monthly payments over the course of the semester instead of one lump-sum at the beginning. The payment plan costs a small fee.

There is no posted deadline for filling out your housing preferences form, but the sooner the better. The sooner you sign up, the more likely you are to get into the community that’s in your #1 or #2 options. Housing sign-ups for new students opens up at reslife.binghamton.edu at 4PM EST on April 16th.

Let me know if you have any other questions!

Sincerely,
Rob Clark

More questions…sorry :frowning:
So the semester payment for the tuition will be around 8000 dollars right? Since the annual fee is 8000 dollars. Also, what is the procedure after paying the deposit 350 dollars?
How do we apply for the dorm?
Sorry for so many questions.

messiero: For a lot of information regarding what you should do as an incoming freshman, you should see this page: [Binghamton University - Experience Binghamton 2011](http://www.binghamton.edu/admissions/fall-2013/)

That page has a list of Must-Dos and Must-Knows to keep you informed about the process for coming to Binghamton this fall.

Housing sign-ups will take place on the Residential Life website. There will be a link that appears on the right-hand side of the page where it currently says “New Student Housing” once housing sign-ups open for incoming freshmen and transfer students. You can find the Res Life website here: [Binghamton University - Residential Life](http://reslife.binghamton.edu/)

If you log into the BU Brain, you can find an estimated cost of attendance at the following page: http://www2.binghamton.edu/financial-aid/pdf/educational-costs-ugrad.pdf

Keep in mind that some of these costs are not billed to you by the university. This estimate includes estimated costs for books and supplies, personal expenses, and transportation, for instance. Only the bolded items are items billed to the student by the university. Actual costs may vary, as different housing can cost slightly different amounts, as can different meal plans. You will receive the actual amount to be paid when a bill is sent in August. These totals are for the entire year, so half them to get the approximate amount that would need to be paid in the fall.

Let me know if you have any other questions!

Sincerely,
Rob Clark
