<p>I'm trying to decide what laptop to get for Miami. I noticed a lot of people using macs but I'm not sure if they'll be entirely compatible. Does anyone know for Math or Meteorology if Macs or PCs are better?</p>
<p>I dont know the breakup of what is the more popular laptop on campus, although I have heard from several posts that lots of kids have macs. UMiami sells DELLs so either way both PC and MAC will be widely prevalent. I personally prefer a PC just cause imo is more user friendly. MAC is a laptop that looks awesome in design but i think its functions are more limited than PC.</p>

<p>HOWEVER, if you're thinking specifically of math... then a PC is better.... a lot of MAC users have to complete their math assignments in the computer lab because MATHxl (online math program) doesn't work on MACs</p>
