Thanks!

There seem to be a lot more Macs on campus. They both work fine anywhere.

Get what you feel you think will work for you, aesthetically and functionally.

Consider your major, too. If you’re planning on purchasing specific software down the road (for stats, graphic design, engineering, etc), make sure your OS is going to work with the programs you need.

Keep in mind that a PC can work with any graphic design program worth your time. And that MACs don’t give you magic artistic abilities.

You can purchase Parallels for Mac, which will allow your Mac to run Windows programs. I’d say with Mac. I bought a Mac & haven’t had any problems. But it’s your decision :)

You can also run Windows 7 on a current-day Mac via [Boot Camp](Boot Camp Assistant User Guide for Mac - Apple Support). I use this system professionally. It works. The upside to this is that you may use native Windows programs like [MS Office](http://office.microsoft.com/en-us/FX102855261033.aspx) and Maple. The downside is that you must buy the Windows operating system and an antivirus/Internet security program.
