PC Regular Decision 2022

Deferred ea and waitlisted rd. My school is a feeder school so I was surprised. My stats were on par and even better than some
Girls in my school who in previous years. I am even a legacy. Even though it was my top choice I don’t think I will accept waitlist. Not worth it

Happy that S was accepted but with no merit, it will not be his top choice.

DD not home got a thick envelope from PC do you think she got in? So tempted to open it! I can do this …

PC waitlists a lot of kids - those in the bottom half of the acceptable range of the applicant pool who did not apply ED and those at the top of the applicant pool who might be using it as a safety. From what I have heard, if you are really interested in attending you need to reach out and express your interest.

DD Accepted, not sure what degree it didn’t say 18 K scholarship, still a price stretch for us so most likely not going. Oh well she has some good choices. Good luck everyone!

I got my decision 2 days ago. Accepted!!!

GPA: 3.73 Unweighted

Test Scores: Didn’t submit them

Corse Load:

Honors: Chemistry and Geometry
APs: US History, Lang and Comp, Human Geography and Bio
CIS (College in the Schools:) Writing and Physics
Other College courses: Took Sociology and International Politics at George Washington University’s precollege program for college credit.

ECs:

SUSOSH (Standup Speak Out South High:) Political group at my school, serve on workshop development committee and logistics committee, and lead workshops as well.

Debate Team: Varsity, team captain and 13 awards won in 3 year career.

Women’s Cabinet: Appointed by Governor Dayton to Women’s Cabinet, also voted on to the micro grant writing committee.

Excellent recommendations and I also submitted extra materials. I submitted 2 papers I wrote for my Sociology class at GW and my resume to better explain my activities.

Congrats to everyone who got in!!!

To those who didn’t, I hope you have the best of luck where ever you end up, and just remember that your rejection or waitlist isn’t a reflection of you or your character.

S accepted! I see that there’s an Open House on April 14, does anyone know if that includes an overnight stay? I see that some schools offer an Open House w/ an overnight, with an opportunity to sit in on a class or two the next day. Does PC do that?

PC has A Day in Friartown where an accepted student spends a day on campus- there is one on April 20th if you plan to go up on the 21st.

Thank you - that sounds great. Our son’s head is spinning right now… rejected at Villanova, wait listed at BC, accepted at Holy Cross, Gettysburg (w Merit $) and PC (no merit $). Also waitlisted at Middlebury.

Needs to go visit them all again…

Can you make a case for PC vs Holy Cross and Gettysburg @ 1/2 price?

Did Honors College invites already go out? I’m assuming S did not get it. Not feeling much love from PC. With no honors and no merit, Holy Cross will be his top choice.

No honors, no merit from PC for our S… Looks like it’s between Holy Cross and Gettysburg (w/ $20k/yr merit)

Current freshman at Providence College. If you have any questions lmk!!

Late to the party. I got accepted and was rewarded the Dr. Martin Luther King Jr. scholarship.
