PDF application

The application is in PDF form...
does anybody know how to physically type directly into the pdf without having to print out the application and do it by hand?

I cant seem to be able to type into the pdf....the little Hand cursor won't cooperate.

any help would be appreciated.

Wasn't a problem for me. I just typed right on the PDF. Why won't it let you save it though?

To type and save PDFs you need the Abode Acrobat software (NOT Reader). The Reader is the one that can be downloaded for free while the Abode Acrobat is an actual CD-ROM you buy.

ah that would make sense. I couldn't type straight onto it either (though some programs do allow you type right onto forms while using reader).

you go up to the toolbar on top and click on the typing button, its to the right of the hand cursor tool.

thats the "text select" tool...it seems like it only allows me to select and manipulate existing text. how do i physically type into the document?

bump please....

It worked for me, try downloading the newest acrobat reader?

From their website?....and then which icon do you use to type directly onto the document? I guess it's not the little hand tool

bump :).........

it worked for me and I have is reader. weird.

i tried saving it to my desktop, then opening it with reader 7.0 and it wont seem to cooperate. when you put the hand icon over a blank text space, shouldnt it turn into the typing icon and allow you to type?

but i guess theres no downside to writing it by hand...?

I have the Adobe reader and it let me type directly on the application. A typing icon comes up when you bring the mouse to a line to enter text.

The only two it wouldn't let me type on were the teacher and counselor recs.

Is there a big disadvantage to handwriting the fields in the application?

I seriously doubt it.
