<p>If the preview PDF not generating for anyone? It's been loading for more than 5 minutes, and previous times I've loaded it have not taken this long. Is it just that there's a lot of traffic at this time of day?</p>
<p>It’s hit & miss for whatever reason. I think Common App hired the same design team as healthcare.gov.</p>

<p>Well, it has been “generating” since I created this thread, which was almost an hour ago. Still nothing. My first deadline is in two days and this is more stressful than it should be.</p>

<p>I had the same problem but it finally worked when I downloaded the latest Adobe Reader (Version XI). Also if you’re on Google Chrome, you need to zoom in to see the pdf because there’s a glitch in the system, but it should still work.</p>

<p>Great, and the whole point of my generating a PDF was to check the formatting on my essay so I could edit. At this point, I think I might as well just email my colleges a screenshot of the buffering page.</p>

<p>Okay, so I switched to Firefox and it loaded once, but I needed to fix something essential and now it’s not working anymore. So you know what, everything still sucks. You guys might have more luck than me though, if you’re willing to sacrifice the chance to edit.</p>
<p>I just hit “submit” from the college’s own tab (not even asking to preview) and got the pdf generating. I don’t think you can sidestep the preview part.</p>
<p>I tried logging on to my desktop (a PC with latest adobe) and do it from there – same thing.</p>

<p>This morning my daughter tried submitting her first Common Application. The first time she used IE 9 and the pdf didn’t generate after 10 minutes. Then she tried Chrome, and no PDF after 10 minutes. Then she tried Firefox, and again no PDF after 10 minutes. However, on the lucky fourth try using IE 9 the PDF generated after 1 minute. Go figure.</p>
