PE Classes

What PE classes are everybody thinking about taking?

Definitely massage!! If that's full, maybe yoga... or a dance class if they have them..

Fencing and volleyball.

Preferably simultaneously. The possibilities...

I wonder how good the PE sport-intro classes are (as in, tennis, ice hockey, etc. for beginners)...

....u have to take PE at cornell? are u kidding me???

you have to take PE at almost every college

this is the first time ive ever heard of a college forcing u to take PE classes...u dont have to take any at ucla...or uc berkeley....jeez, or any other school. You guys sure its a requirement?

Who cares??? The PE classes are like getting credit for having fun!!!!! :)

All Cornell undergraduates are normally required to take two credits (two courses) of Physical Education, one credit each semester of the first year on campus.

There are so many P.E. classes I'd like to take at Cornell! Equitation, fencing, ballroom dancing, and belly dancing all sound fun... and I didn't even know they offered a massage class!! I never thought I'd be happy about having to take gym, but.... :)

... you have to take a swim test, too.

NOOOOOOOOO!

NOT A SWIM TEST!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!! I better go apply to UCLA and UC Berkeley...they don't make you take PE OR swim tests, you know.

I heard you can take the swim test during orientation week. How does that work? Just walk down there and say "Hey, I'm ready to swim my 3 laps"?

You have to sign up for it, either on your first day or before you get there!!!!!!!! :)

I definately want to take ultimate frisbee, sailing, golf, squash, or rock climbing. What a selection! haha

I'd fill it with my Taekwondo, because I really want to join the team, but other PE I would want to take would be Rock Climbing, Mtn. Biking, Skiing, Gymnastics (haha 6'5" person doing gymnastics), Baseball, trying hockey might be fun since its so big there. Oh the possibilities...but try TKD, you will fall in love with it. It's 'da bomb!

I'm definitely looking forward to trying rock climbing, snowboarding, and the triathlon class! and the swim test is a good thing. everyone needs to know how to swim!! not that im biased or anything....

lol I can't believe people are making a big deal of PE and swimming...everyone should know how to swim

I want to take ice skating, massage, rock climbing, skiing, or soccer

I cannot swim...

I think maybe I'm too dense to float... I can flop around under the water though, maybe that'll do?

=)

Bring swimmies!!!!!!:)

Why can't they have these cool classes in high school? I'm stuck with weighlifting and stupid sports that only the boys care about. cheers for ballroom dancing
