5 minute warmup (maybe a few laps on the track, jumping jacks, stretching…depends on the instructor)

45 mins of your activity

leave

Sounds like fun. Remember, sports are the great social equalizer. Come in, succeed, and be rewarded with the confidence of your team.

OR

Come in, grumble, be rewarded with the commiserations of your teammates.

p.e. is just coming in chilling and chatting to people usually. in some classes you do self-monitored exercise. in others you can have the team aspect. But there’s so much variety, flexibility and low standards that it’s just fun. I’m taking 4 p.e. classes instead of 2 because they’re a good way to get some exercise and not be annoyed or pushed too hard.

"because they’re a good way to get some exercise and not be annoyed or pushed too hard. "

Dude, if you don’t push yourself, that’s not exercise. Beating a dead horse is more exercise (HAHA I’m funny)

Basically it – but I don’t recall a “warm-up” in any of my PE classes.

I’d also add “sign in” as something you do…

Yeah I think a lot of times sign in=warm up. Although for a gym class I’m in this semester the teacher’s psychotic with warm up, to the point of major ******baggery.

It totally depends on what kind of PE class you take. There are so many different types offered that it’s really impossible to say what they are all like. But do keep in mind that you are getting credit to exercise- which is pretty awesome. And if you take one of the sports classes (swimming, soccer, rowing, etc) you often will be taught by the actual coach of the varsity team. So they can definitely help you and push you if that’s what you’re looking for. You just have to ask.
