Peabody and Hopkins? How integrated are they?

Hi! I’m currently looking into schools and JHU Peabody is defo one of my top choices. I’m interested in music composition and neuroscience (although I know I won’t get into the dual degree program) I’m yet to visit but I’ve spoken to admissions and learned a lot about it and it seems incredible. Only thing I’m worried about is how closely Hopkins and Peabody are related. It’s very important to me that I make a wide variety of friends with multiple interests, not only people who do music. I really love this school and Johns Hopkins as well but I’m just worried that I’ll be limited socially and academically. Is anyone here a Peabody student that could tell me about your experience? That’s be really awesome!

I’m not a Peabody student, but I don’t know how many are on here so I’ll give this a shot.

Homewood and Peabody are physically pretty close, but not particularly socially integrated. The only Peabody students I know are dual degree students who love at Homewood. I’m sure there are Homewood and Peabody students who cross campuses and become friends, but it’s not particularly common.

Say I end up going to Peabody- if I make an effort to join clubs and stuff, can I make a lot of friends at the homewood campus?
