Joining the peace corp is something ive always wanted to do and i intend on joining for two years after undergrad is over. Will law schools appreciate this experience or would i truly be better off attaining work experience after Ugrad? I want to go to law school in nyc...

yea so im just asking how peace corp experience is looked upon by top law schools. (of course i would not join just to impress a school).

I'm sure they'll view it as a plus.

I've also always wanted to join the peace corp right after undergrad. To my knowledge, joining would be a hook - definitely not something that would be looked down upon. I'm almost positive top law schools would view it in a good light.

I also want to join the peace corp after I finish undergrad. It is something I have been thinking about for a while.

same here...

Valuable job experience IMHO. It'll help.

Now that it has been established that the Peace Corps is beneficial, how about the other Corps, the Marine Corps? Say if an applicant had been an officer in the Marines or the Army for about 4 years, would that be helpful?

more so for business than law. But if you can thoughtfull articulate your experiences, you'd be in good shape for either one.

Join the Marine Corps before you join the Peace Corps by all means.

Peace Corp would be big plus. I plan to participate as well after I'm done with undergrad.
