Worked at Harvard doing research for a summer
Head of 2 clubs, member or smaller positions of 4 more
Went on service trip to Rwanda last summer for 6 weeks
Captain of JV lacrosse team (I go to a semi-big school, so JV is actually kinda hard to make)
Peer leader (kindof like a peer support group on campus)
Volunteer as a spanish tutor and a school tour guide every week
RA (live with the younger kids in dorms)</p>

Honor roll every semester since sophomore year
Honorable mention for a prize at school
Coach's award in LAX in 2008
AP Scholar with honor</p>

I'm working by myself on this giant project all year that's very focused through a highly regarded school program.</p>

<p>Your GPA and Act score put you in the middle of Emory’s admitted students, which is good. There are a lot of applicants in that area, though. Of your ECs, admissions officers at elite colleges such as Emory would probably like the 6 week service trip to Rwanda since they have a soft spot in their hearts for students who want to save the world. The other ECs may seem like window dressing. Only 7% of Emory’s students come from New England, so you may benefit from “the reverse commute.” I would guess that you get accepted. Good luck!</p>
