Anyone can tell me about Peddie school ? Is it a good school ? How prestigious it is ? Can it be considered in the same rank as the Ten schools or a little bit lower or a lot lower ?

Peddie is every bit as good as Hill. It has a strong Washington DC and southern base.

Peddie is not as good as Lawrenceville, but these years, the acceptance rate is low, around 25%. A lot of students from NJ, PA and NY.

Ten Schools is a marketing/admissions alliance that was formed more than 40 years ago. If you were to compare the top businesses from more than 40 years ago to a 2008 list, a few would still be on the list, but many would not. What I am trying to say is that whether or not a school is a member of the Ten Schools Admissions Organization (with a static membership -- I think -- for over 40 years) is not a good measuring stick of quality.

Generally, Peddie is a very good school and prestigious ?

Any more thoughts about this school ?

Peddie is a very good school. Any one who attends should be proud.

Why does it matter if it is prestigious? Some very excellent schools lack prestige.

Any more information about Peddie ? Like athletic, academic, facilities,...

Great school. Don't worry about prestige. Big endowment, bigger than lawrenceville with less students. The plans are approved for a new athletic center to keep up with rival Blair. Merit scholarships are offered.

Peddie has come a long way under its current Headmaster, but it is not every bit as good as Hill.

Peddie has outstanding facilities, many of them built in the last 15 years through the generosity of Walter Annenberg and Finn Caspersen. Its athletic facilities are already better than Blair's, although Blair's new facilities look first rate. Peddie's proposed expansion will only improve what they have at an estimated cost of $38m. Most Peddie students, even boarders, are from NJ and neighboring states, but it has become highly selective for day students.

Ground was broken for Blair's new indoor athletic facilities in Oct. and should be completed around the end of 2008. Most of the outdoor improvements have been completed. http://www.blair.edu/Campaign/renderings.htm

I did not mean to denigrate Blair's new facilities -they look spectacular. And Blair's campus in general is my favorite.

i think it is a great school in the new jersey area, i was thinking about applying there!!!!:)
