I took SSAT last time and got 1980. Is it good enough for me to have a chance at Peddie ? I am apply for junior year and need financial aid. I am an international student too

I got a 2004, and it was 43% overall. What was your percentile? The average at Peddie is 70%, so I would retake if I were you. The deadline to register late is the 28th! :) Where else are you applying?

I would retake, at least try again before you make a decision you'll regret

I think I am not gonna retake due to a complicated situation.

Can I still have a chance ?

I am applying to Peddie only

People have totally different views of how the SSAT is taken into consideration. A lot of kids who are applying think it's the most important part, but the kids I've talked to that actually go to boarding school say that it's a little important, but it's by no means the most important part of your application. What are your EC's and grades? What country are you applying from?

I really think you should apply to more schools unless you are comfortable staying for two more years at your current school. Pennington is also in NJ and is a little less competitive. There's also The Gunnery, Berkshire, Cushing, and Kent, but they're all in MA and CT.

True, the SSAT isn't the only thing that you are turning in to convince the admission committee that you are right for peddie. If your strong in academics, got a good interview, and some nice teacher recs, I'm guessing you still have a pretty good chance.

Here are my stats:
How do you think about my chance ?

9th grade GPA: 8.0/10 (9th grade in my country is still in middle school)

My GPA last academic year was 9.2/10 ( My country's score scale is 10, "A" score starts from 8.0)

My Average score 1st quarter this year: 98/100 ( I am attending a high school in US)

Thanks,

No, you stick your essay there. jk. yeah you stick it there with glue.
