Did anybody else apply? I’m super nervous about it.
Haha not yet
Planning to apply around 10 October
Why did you apply so early?
application was due September 10th…
Did you apply @gebo342 ?
Oops sorry
Mistook this for normal application to Penn!
I applied! Super nervous. I put so much time into that supplemental, I think it’s one of the best essays I’ve ever written. But Penn is so competitive.
Has anyone gotten anything yet? The email says by September 19th, so I wonder if they’ll send it out in waves or not…Even though I have no shot, I check my email like every five seconds lol
I’m in your same shoes. I check my email about every 30 minutes lol, but nothing has been sent to me. Btw did your counselor recive anything to fill out? My teacher was the only one that had to submit something.
I thought that counselors had to fill out something, but I’m not 100% sure.
I applied too and I haven’t gotten anything yet. I assume since I live in California it will come out at 2pm.
Did anyone get the email yet?
Haven’t gotten anything yet either, I’m from Wisconsin @writingwords
@ethiopienne I’m wondering if they will even send it out today since it’s past office hours.
I wonder when people found out last year @writingwords
Did a little digging on CC…last year people found out on a Monday at around 4 pm. So we might just be out of luck for today. @writingwords
Aww that’s too bad they did say that we were hearing back from them by today, though… Do u think they’re sending them out by regions? I’m in the Midwest too @ethiopienne
I’m not sure! From precious experience with fly ins, I have heard news back in waves compared to others on CC but I’m not sure if that’s by regions or different places on the waitlist (i.e if they’ve waited accept/reject me depending on how many people from the first waves have committed). @writingwords
I’m in NY, I haven’t heard anything so far. I think this is the most I’ve checked my email in a day Lml. Btw does this gives you a better shot of getting in?
No it doesn’t, Wolf. But there’s a correlation between participation in PEEP and admittance to UPenn. Has something to do with the strength of the candidates that are accepted to PEEP. And the fact that the Office of Admissions selects both PEEP participants and UPenn students. If they liked you in September, they’ll probably like you in December…
@WolfOfBrookAve “does this gives you a better shot of getting in?”
Not directly, but it may help indirectly in an essay by demonstrating your interest in Penn.
