Peer Evaluation/Recommendation question?

Mine is going to be written by a friend who now lives in Belgium, so is it okay if the forms are faxed, or scanned, or something like that? Also would it cancel my application if it is sent in/received 1 or 2days late?

You should call/email the school about that.

They aren’t closed for the holidays?

They are assuredly closed for the holidays. There’s a slim chance they may be open, but I wouldn’t wait to call/email the school to inquire. Having portions of your application late won’t necessarily kill your chances, but it’s not ideal.

Have your friend go ahead and scan the recommendation, emailing it in PDF form to 1) your regional admissions officer and 2) the general admissions email address.

Your regional admissions officer can be found here: [Davidson College - Admission Counselors by Geography](http://www3.davidson.edu/cms/x23067.xml)

And the general email address is admission@davidson.edu.

It would probably be overkill, but you could also have your friend mail the recommendation and as long as the postmark is January 2nd or early, it’ll still probably be okay…but keep in mind that international mail can take more than a week to arrive…even longer. I would mail from a diplomatic post office when I worked abroad and it would sometimes take 2-6 weeks.

Good luck!

She can’t scan it, but she can attach it into emails.
Are you sure she should send it by email to both addresses?
It feels like sending it by mail could be real slow yeah, and I don’t know if it’d be a good or bad thing since they’d get it late…but maybe since they would have received the emails?

I’m just not sure those email addresses are meant for that. Could I perhaps send it by mail myself?

Would it be okay if I scanned it and sent it to those emails? I have to fill in the “to the applicant…” stuff anyways and since its a word document I can’t check off the stuff so…

That could solve the problem? I could also send it by mail that way? and explain somewhere why I had to send it by mail?
