So I was looking at the peer evaluation sheet and I saw that there was only space for the peer's name. How would Dartmouth know if one were to just make up the evaluation for themselves? Is it from the signature that could be easily forged?

They expect you to be honest and the peer was supposed to mail it from an address different from the person’s.

Yeah, it’s basically on your honor. If someone has to forge a peer evaluation, then god have mercy on his or her soul.

Dartmouth takes their honor code very seriously. They also state that willful misrepresentation of your application will result in your being dismissed from the school. The world is a very small place. Ask yourself if it would be worth it.

Just checking, but the peer evaluation DOES need to have the peer’s signature, correct?

I don’t remember if there was a spot where it specifically asked for it, but I signed mine at the end anyway.

Nah. If you send it in via e-mail, there isn’t a space for signature. I asked my evaluator to mail it (though they accept it, if you yourself email it too). I also asked him to add his email id & contact no. to the form!! Cause I do know that quite a few people play a part in their own evaluation!!
