Peer Recommendation

is it advisable to use the dartmouth peer recommendation as a supplementary recommendation to other schools?

Really doubt peer recs will hold much weight anywhere…

It holds weight at Dartmouth, though I don’t think other schools would have much interest in reading it. Dartmouth wants to know how your peers view you - other schools may not care.

Doubt it holds much weight at D… A school will NEVER change their decision because of a peer eval, because who knows who the peer is?

There is no accountability with peer evals, and so no weight.

Edit: Shall I say that a school will never reverse a rejection because of a peer eval. Perhaps a peer eval could reverse an acceptance, but I doubt it.

I would also imagine that peer evaluations don’t matter too much. Especially if the school doesn’t ask for one, but I could be completely wrong
