<p>Peer Schools I respect: BC, BU, Binghamton, Clemson, UConn, UDel, GWU, Maryland, Miami (FL), Northeastern, Pitt, Tulane. Maybe some more too.</p>

<p>Loads of respect for Rice, GTech, Swarthmore, Reed(!), Cornell, Brown, MIT, Yale, Cooper Union (because it needs some love), and Caltech. :)</p>

<p>Iā€™m sure everyone is factoring the quality and general mentality of the student body too.</p>

<p>I love Columbiaā€™s core and location, but many of its alumni depress me.</p>

Peers I really, really respect: Yale, Princeton, Chicago, MIT, any top 5 LAC (and in my world Tufts is right up there too :D)
Peers I donā€™t respect: Harvard</p>

<p>Respect: Cooper Union, Caltech, Berea, Olin College, Amherst and the other little Ivys</p>

<p>Respect: Stanford, UChicago, Every Ivy except for Brown (and even then I respect the caliber of students, just not the institution they attend)</p>

Respect/Love: Dartmouth, Stanford, Amherst, Pomona, Princeton. </p>

<p>I am totally like schools with smart kids who know how to also enjoy themselves. Also I think all these offer great undergraduate educations, and based on what Iā€™ve seen with my brothers, that seems to matter more than anything.</p>

<p>I have a ton of respect for (and could see myself happily attending): Vassar, Swarthmore, University of Chicago, Bard, Macalester, and Carleton.</p>

<p>I respect the students at Berkeley, Yale, Michigan, UCLA, Harvard, UPenn, Texas, Duke, Princeton, Stanford, Notre Dame, Cornell, UNC, and Vandy, but I feel sorry for them that they couldnā€™t attend Madison.</p>
