Pell grant when I am not going full time

I didn't start my current college program until this spring semester and I guess since I started the 2011-2012 term late I qualified for Pell during this upcoming summer semester. The thing is they don't seem to have a great deal of classes offered for my program in the summer. I might be able to get 9 credit hours at the most, will Pell still cover my classes and books even if I don't get 12 credit hours?

The Pell grant will be reduced to reflect your attendance status. If you are taking 9-11 hours that is 3/4 time, so your Pell will be 3/4 of what you would otherwise receive. 6-8 hours would be half time and your Pell would be half what you would otherwise receive.

Whether it will cover your tuition and books depends on the cost of your tuition and books.

Thanks so much for answering my question, it helped
