<p>Is there an income level they look at to award a Pell Grant? Like if you make $50,000 or more a year you can't receive it, or are their other factors in determining whether or not you are eligible?</p>

<p>My friend who's parents have an income of $40,000 was inelligible for a Pell Grant, so the same may go for you. I'm not sure how savings and home equity play into the factor, but my friend's parents were cash poor, house rich (most Californians seem to be that way).</p>

<p>I believe it is determined by your EFC. If your EFC is over $4500, you are not eligible to receive a Pell Grant. If your EFC is 0, you receive the maximum amount.</p>

<p>Lhasa is correct that the maximum pell grant you can recieve is $4050. Your eligibity for pell is based on your EFC with the EFC cap being $4500 for the minimum amount of pell to 0 making you eligible for the maximum depending on your cost of attendance. When you recieve your Fafsa it usually states on the FAFSA whether or not you are eligible for pell.</p>

<p>Are the EFC worksheets that were accessed from above part of the FAFSA or is that another set of forms you have to send in ?</p>

<p>Is there any help I Can get besides private scholarships and loans to pay for college if my parents make $120,000 a year?</p>

<p>When you complete the FAFSA, it provides the EFC figure for you. It should appear in the top right hand corner of the SAR [student aid report].</p>

<p>TTTR, if you ask nicely, maybe some work-study from the school but I don't think you'll be getting much or for that matter any grants with that.</p>

<p>But it depends on your EFC, there are ways to have a high income and still have a low EFC and vice-versa.</p>

<p>Well I called their financial aid office and they said I don't qualify for work-study. Are there any scholarships the school gives out to those who arn't economically disadvantaged but still can't afford to pay all the tuition without wincing.</p>
