<p>Do we HAVE to bring normal pencils? Last time I got an 8 on my essay because it was so hard to read. I write much neater with mechanical pencils? Does it matter which pencils we use?</p>

<p>a lot of the procters won't allow mechanicals. I've had a couple procters who were really strict about it.</p>
<p>I'm bringing 6 random pencils of varying length and color tomorrow.</p>
<p>My daughter prefers mechanical pencils so uses them but takes along a few sharpened regular pencils in case she runs into a proctor who won't allow mechanicals. Has never happened yet.</p>
<p>If you use mechanical pencils, go buy HB lead from pentel and use that. It's #2.</p>
<p>I hate normal pencils... When they bcome dull, all of the things I write look 3 times bigger than they are supposed to. Are you allowed to bring a sharpener to the test?</p>
