Penn 2017 ED Discussion Thread

If i get accepted I might read and re-read my letter over and over again for an hour… so yeah I do believe some won’t actually find out until 1hour later :P

Websites bolster their server capacity during periods of expected high traffic to prevent crashes and delays. The site will be running strong come 6 o’clock.

Good night everyone. Try to get a good rest, and I;ll be hoping for the best - for all of us.

SHIFHODIJSOAIJWET

my friend who also applied to Wharton ED from my school told me that his counselor told him that two people from my school already got accepted into penn (athlete recruits) and that our chances were slim since penn usually doesn’t accept more than two.

EFFFF MY LIFE?

Darned athletes, being athletic and smart and business-oriented at the same time.

Counselor should stfudgeu.

haha oh well.

hoping for the best <3

iSeraphic i believe in you. you are the chosen one.

First post ever on this forum. Was lurking this thread for quite a while. Anyway, best of luck to all of you. I hope that you all end up going to the college that best prepares you for the future. Whether it be Penn or not, best of luck!

After reading some of early posts on page 217 I am completely freaked out! DeanFurda was talking about Ben Franklin’s ideas about not only learning knowledge but also be practical and make the best use of knowledge. HOWEVER, in my “how to engage academically” essay I didnt mention any idea about being practical! I wrote about interdisciplinary aproach, Ben Franklin Scholar, general education, liberal arts environment blablabla! I think I am facing a big rej…

HAHAHAHAH Wharton3 you made my night. Love you <3

Also guys…does Dean Furda actually read applications? Like I wonder what’s his job in the whole process…if he reads some applications doesn’t that give more weight/less weight since I feel like he’d be more critical or something idek

^He’ll make final decisions I think, and he’s regional director of Washington DC.

*sigh… Only a couple more hours till decision come out… 7am in the morning for me… Hope the site isn’t too slow, or I’d be late for school. Don’t know how I’d cope with school tmr if I get rejected/. .
Either way, I’ve made reservations at this posh Mexican restaurant tmr night~ gonna treat myself to Sth yummy and expensive either to celebrate or to comfort myself…

I think I’m gonna leave the forum until decisions come out… Must start moving on with life…

Thx everyone on CC for the mental support in the past months, this has been a great online community!Wish everyone the best of luck.

At the end of the day, it isn’t what college we go to, but who we are that matters. Accept, reject or defer, we’ll all go far in life.

Best,
Chrezie

I am so worried :S Penn is my dream school! 12 more hours to goooo ! :O

I think we should just sleep on it. Wake up at 6 and behold the decision!

I vowed to myself that I would stay off this website, but lo and behold, here I am. 11 hours 52 minutes left! How’s everybody hanging in there?

I am praying to Lord Federer to give me the fortitude to carry on through this day. I will forever remember this day not as my 18th birthday, but the day that I get accepted/rejected by UPenn.

Good luck to everyone :)

@Seraphic: Penn does accept more than 2 candidates from a school

Last year 3 students got accepted

What are you guys applying for? Anyone doing one of the Dual Degree Programs? :)

Todays the day, good luck everyone

I personally am not applying, but my friend ObbiPenn is!

Today is his Birthday! Wish him a Happy B-Day!!!

And, Good Luck to everyone. You are all awesome individuals and you will all do great things, no matter the school.
