Finally, some GOOD press about Penn...

And Penn's #1 for undergrad billionaire alumni.

Now, if I could just get one of them to give me a loan . . . .

What was the bad press?

What was the bad press?

Hrm... The panties thief... the computer hacker... the ID thief... the child porn professor... the shooting at Club Wizards... the two sexual assaults within a week... the death of a student at HUP...

And those are only the ones that I remember... There are certainly more...

The professor who killed his wife, the other shooting in our area, the fact that one of the sexual assaults was done by someone wearing a Penn Walk uniform, Philly having a giant muder rate, thats all I can add.

Plus the retrial of the Wharton undergrad who allegedly killed her ex in Delaware, and the law student who shot his neighbor's front door (but he went to Yale undergrad, so Yale should share some of the blame).

BUT, the good news is that (1) the murder rate is actually down in Philly, (2) there's a terrific new mayor, police commissioner, etc., (3) there's a new high-powered admissions dean starting in a few weeks, (4) the eastern expansion and other campus improvements will soon shift into high gear, and (5) the $3.5 billion capital campaign has already raised $1.99 billion with 4 years left to go!

Look for lots of good news in the next few years.

Ah yes, THAT bad news.
