26e: I don't think you can check an online app in pdf and I'm quite sure the Nov 1st deadline is a postmarked deadline.

Q: Just for clarification, how do you ONLY send part 1 of the Penn online app once you've completed it? After you log in and click "part 1," is clicking the "submit" button on the top right ONLY for the part 1 of the app or does it automatically submit both? Just making sure I don't send a blank part 2 =(

Break: if you're right about the postmark deadline, i love you more now than you can possibly imagine. as for your question, i've been told that you can submit part 1 without submitting part two. it's somewhere here on this thread, too, i believe

26e, what's SSR and profile? some crucial part of the application that I've missed, perhaps...oh god, oh god, (bites nails)

Also, I'm freaking out for no reason, I hope, but our actual teachers are responsible for sending the recs, right? as in physically putting them in a mailbox? It's not our job to do it.......we just give them the envelope, right?

Little side note......I can't believe this thread has reached 12 pages:) I hope it's helped people. I don't know what I would do if I wasn't able to post random questions here and get them answered by your guys.

Thanks! and good luck with finishing touches on your apps!

Helix: SSR=secondary school report, Profile=collegeboard FA profile (i also have to do the FAFSA, btw), so you can most likely release your nails

To your second point: in theory, but I have to personally see them send it.

Ahhhhhhh, thank you. As you've seen, me and abbreviations don't mix well, lol.

I also have to do the Collegeboard profile, but I thought FAFSA was not due until much later (January maybe?)

Thank you, I'm glad the thread was helpful

Best of Luck......after we have our apps sent in, I suspect someone will start a Penn ED countdown thread.........It's scary to even think about it.

What does it mean by the November 1st deadline. Does this mean Penn needs it in its hand by November 1st? Or does it mean it has to be stamped and put in mailbox by november 1st?

i really like everyone on this site.. sigh.. i hope we all get in

a toast to penn (well actually literally.. i had a sudden craving for some peanut butter on toast.. i just dont have a quaker to throw it at)

well, i think the idea is to throw it onto the field, but i think we can turn this into a NEW tradition. throwing toast at fellow freshmen, or something to that effect

and the scariest part is.. the french exchange students are here for 2 weeks and they told me that they dont have peanut butter in france... they have nutella..

erf.. we went to fridays and they said they dont have mozzerella sticks in france either!! how will i survive abroad?!
