Penn Decisions May 6

My mother just called me and told me that I got into Penn. I applied to the College as a Physics major from the University of Florida. Good luck to everyone who hasn't heard yet, and congratulations to those who get accepted.

Congratz, man. Visit DRL (your future home for Physics) and submit to its 1960s design! mwahaha

Congrat!!! Did you get a mail?
Congrat once again! Are you going Dartmouth or Penn?

My mom received via snail mail and called me when she got it. I live in Miami, Fl so the mail should be arriving relatively soon.

I'm not sure yet as to where I will go. I'm leaning towards Dartmouth, however, because of the ease with which transfers assimilate into the community. I'm pretty happy about Penn though, I want to take a look at the financial package before I make my decision. I am also waiting on Cornell and Stanford so that will play a role in my final decision as well.

Good luck to everyone who has yet to hear, and thank you for all of the help and support.

Congrat Eddie! You the man

i just got accepted into SEAS for transfer. filled out an online application and did not receive an email or snail mail (i just randomly checked online). my stats are in my other posts but basics are 1380 SAT, 4.0 GPA at clemson university, great recs, and visual art portolio supplement. this art interest related to my interest in penn's product design focus of mechanical engineering.

good luck everyone!

Congrats Thrills, I've read many of your posts and you deserve it. I wish you the best of luck at Penn and once again Congratulations.

By the way, here is a link for my stats:

thanks eddie! see ya there

Congratz to all that got in. SEAS is nerd heaven, so I hope you like it. ;)

No i am SAS applicant

Dear XXXXXX,

It gives me great pleasure to invite you to attend the Wharton School at the University of Pennsylvania as a member of the transfer class entering in September 2005. The members of this year's transfer class were chosen by a very personal selection process during which admissions officers and faculty reviewed nearly 1,600 applications in search of individuals whose abilities and talents would enrich the undergraduate experience at the University.

As we invite you to become a part of the Penn tradition, we encourage you to explore the ways in which you could make your own unique contribution to this distinguished heritage of academic excellence, social leadership, and cultural advancement. A distinguished faculty, nationally recognized academic departments, and opportunities for combined graduate and undergraduate study, in addition to an extensive program of social and cultural activities, combine to make this campus a lively and challenging environment in which to pursue your chosen course of study.

The enclosed information will answer many of your questions and we urge you to read it carefully. A preliminary evaluation of your transfer credit will be available within three weeks. You will be able to access this information online through our decision website at www.admissions.upenn.edu/decisions. If you applied for financial aid, and submitted all of your required documents by the due dates, an evaluation will be mailed to you starting mid-May and will also be available on the decision website by following the PPOL link after logging in. Although you need not reply until you receive this information, I recommend you send the reply card and deposit as soon as possible since this will enhance your housing opportunities on campus.

Also keep in mind, if you are currently enrolled in a college or university, that this approval has been granted with the understanding that your spring term record will show evidence of the same high quality of work that your previous record has shown. Be certain to have your Registrar's Office forward us an official copy of your final grades as soon as they become available.

On behalf of the Penn community and the Admissions staff, I would like to congratulate you warmly on your excellent scholastic and personal achievements. If there are questions with which we might be helpful, or if you have not yet visited the campus and would like to do so, please do not hesitate to let us assist you. We are looking forward to seeing you in September.

Sincerely,

Willis J. Stetson, Jr.
Dean of Admissions

=======

BEST DAY OF MY LIFE!!! GO PENN

Congratulations eddie, thrills, and philbert, though I really had no doubt about you all;)

i hate mr. Stetson Jr.

WHERE IS MY DECISION!!! COLUMBIA AND NYU WANTS MY MONEY!

Congrats Philbert! That's great... you'll do well there, wish you the best.

Thrills, I haven't decided yet as to where I will be next fall. So far I've been accepted to two of the four schools I applied to (Dartmouth, Penn) and have yet to hear from the others (Cornell, Stanford). If I am rejected by the other two, I will probably go to Dartmouth (I'm still not sold, if anyone can help me out it would be great), because of the smaller community and the ease with which transfers assimilate into the community.

Thank you all for the support and help, and good luck to those who haven't heard, the wait sucks.

-Eddie-

Philbert, looks like that email they sent you may have been a sign.

Congrats you three.

Wow guys, congrats to all of you!! That's so awesome for you, I'm really pumped, just hoping for good news as well. Though I don't post much, I do check every day and read what ya'll wrote. So, again congrats, and hopefully good news is contagious!

-Danny

I just got into Wharton too!! I'll be seeing you in Huntsman next year Philbert - congrats!

I have never been this excited, I'm still in that initial state of shock.

DpinMiami! Congratz!! I will be seeing you as well in Huntsman.

Me too!!!! SO EXCITED. I am going PENN tomorrow to check it out. I will update you!

By the way, do you have aim? I sent you my aim through a private message. Keep in touch.

Phillip

Huntsman is probably the nicest building ever. In the history of all buildings. Of all time. I take Wharton courses just to be able to reserve the special rooms.

Hey guys, I just got into Wharton as well!!!!!!! Congrats to all who got in, I'll see you in Fall!
