My midterms are going on! Can’t wait for the decision. Gonna die if I see any of the three though!

the time range just means that from 3-7 it will go directly to the admissions site, where you can automatically view your decision. i think that everything will be available exactly at 3

…21.5 hours. Is everyone ready? I cannot concentrate on anything right now. AHHHHHHHHHHHH

Ahhhhhhhhhhhhhhhhhhhhh!!! 21 hours!

Here is a bit of hope if tomorrow doesn’t bring you the first four words you want - my S got deferred from ED and accepted RD (a rare bird, I believe). He is now a happy Penn sophomore.

Does anyone know what the decision portal looks like? I mean, once you login, will you be able to just see the letter directly?

Eeeeee, 19 hours.

Also, I know some colleges (Yale, Columbia) play some sort of music (the school song?) if you are accepted. Does Penn do this? I think music makes it incredibly brutal to rejects or deferrals. I mean you don’t even have to read it, you just have to listen for your fate ahhh…

no, there is no music playing when you read your decision, or at least there wasnt any music playing last year when my decision came out.

good luck everybody

I’m reading through the Columbia ED thread; it is dismal.

^Like a wasteland of rejections with only a few sprouts of acceptances, right? I was really surprised to see so many rejections, I honestly hope that it won’t be the same case here.

Hopefully not! I feel like they’re holding out for RD applications because of their move to CommonApp. At least, that’s what I hope…

My friend applied with a 2350 that she was pleased with and amazing ECs and she was rejected straight out.

^^^Yes, yes it is. Maybe that’s because ED apps were up by 8%. Cornell isn’t that bad, but then again they dropped 4%. Penn went up by 18.3%. Definitely expecting rejection now. Brutal but true. Ah well, it will probably occur for the best.

Yeah, what the heck was up with the Columbia ED thread, there so many 2300+, 3.9+ GPA, w/ decent Ecs getting rejected. It has crushed all my hope of getting in. The cornell thread however was more encouraging, kids were getting in left and right, I am pretty sure there was a streak of like 7 acceptances in a row.

Columbia? My friend with 2320, 3.9UW, decent ECs, and good essays got in.

They want real people, not plastic applicants :)

I’m expecting a very dismal thread tomorrow…

Brace for rejection. Ffu

yeah, i’m mentally preparing myself for rejection. the higher you raise your hopes, the more painful it is you fall. The most dismal part of all this is that there’s 1 other girl applying upenn ed in my class and i’m pretty sure she’s gonna get in. So it’s that feeling of dejection, of being inferior to someone. Watching her happy face on Monday (unfortunately we have 1st period together), and savoring my own rejection, that’s the most depressing part

Winkiee, I’m in the same position as you. 'Cept the person is one of my best friends haha. I’m really nervous for tomorrow just like everyone else :/

ahh I’m so nervous for tomorrow (omg, today - it just turned midnight)! best of luck to everybody and I hope we can all post some green letters in the decisions thread in just a matter of some hours!

13.5 hours! UGHHH!!

By the way, is it true that we might have to wait till 7pm to know the results or have they just written that to be on the safe side!? :/

I want it earllyy! i want it RIGHT NOW!
