Penn Deferred --> Accepted?

Anyone know anyone who was deferred and then accepted? This might provide hope not only for me, but to other deferrees.

Last year, 99 deferred ED applicants were accepted during the RD round:

That’s like 99 more than 0! LOL. I guess there’s still a glimmer of hope then :)

Thank you for your info…@ 45 percenter do you have any idea rougly how many of Wharton deferrees would be accepted in RD?? What should we do in order to increase our chances to get admitted? Thanks a lot! i really appreaciate that :))

Anyone know the rate for SEAS?

What did your deferral letters look like? I heard some deferral letters look different so just wondering

I applied RD last year, but this is still applicable to ED applicants that were deferred. I HIGHLY suggest you send an updated resume of just things you have accomplished since submitting your early decision application and then writing a cover letter restating that penn is still your first choice and explaining the contents of your updated resume. i did this, even though i applied RD to all of my schools, and believe it greatly helped my chances of being admitted.
