With the common application being released this year, will penn likely retain its #4 crown in the upcoming year? Seeing as how Princeton is the exclusive top dawg (above harvad) this year, will this be a temporary phase OR, as many outsiders see it, has Penn just fallen back into its rightful place behind stanfurd, mit, and caltech?
Well, in any case, it’s certainly a SAD, SAD day for us all. God bless.

the us news ranking is useless...the above posters are all correct...the ranking shows nothing of great importance, and penn is a great school for many great reasons, as are all other schools

Yeah, not only is this old news, but I feel like most Penn students are not the least bit bothered by this. It's a magazine's rankings... people were just as indifferent when we broke out of the tie to move up to #4.

Given that the number one complaint about US news was always "why are MIT and Stanford behind Penn and Duke?" perhaps people will cry foul less and trust US news. A 7 ranking that people take seriously is better than a 4 everyone thinks is BS.
