so...assuming that the number of applicants slightly increases from last year, and adjusting the number of people accepted accordingly, there should still be a 2,800 applicants accepted out of 15, 080 that apply RD. That makes for a 18.6% acceptance rate...roughly 19%....not a great number, but not as bad as the 6-9% acceptance rates expected at harvard, yale, princeton, and columbia :-

it annoys the bejesus outta me when ppl make idiotic comments like, "i don't think i'll get in, should i withdraw my app?......can i get a refund?" You freaking applied, stick with it, you might get lucky. In fact, that's what everyone is hoping for- luck. There is no sure fire candidate that is so desirable he can't be rejected. That's the thing about ivy's, they know that no one person is so good they can't be replaced. There will be others like him, if not better...

eibrahim, and to others lacking in self-confidence...get a hobby. Only a few weeks are left till decisions come out, till then, find something to occupy your time. Bye now :)

Also, the ED applicant pool is likely stronger than the RD pool, full of high-scoring students who are sure they want to go to UPenn next year, so the essay quality is probably very high too. The RD rate discourages me a little bit, but I'm still optimistic. You can't be sure of anything though...
