Well how's this. Everyone who is applying to Wharton has to be a little conservative (well fiscally at least!). I feel like if you understand economics, even just a little bit, you have to be somewhat conservative.

And although personally, I'm the head of Young Republicans at my school, I'm not actually the average run of the mill, Bush (insert derogatory word) Republican. To me, the GOP is wayyy too moderate. Yes, I was born in Philly / grew up in Boston / should be a liberal Yank through-and through BUT in reality.. I want the US to withdraw from the UN.. pull all troops from foreign soil.. tighten border control.. overturn Roe v. Wade.. put God back in public education.. etc etc.. I'm just weird like that I guess? But don't worry, I'm not militant about my beliefs, I'm a pretty easygoing guy. ^^

Sorry, I'm stupid. Does this mean that you should only use uppercase when you handwrite it or does it mean you should use uppercase regardless of whether you type it or handwrite it?

I'm allotting myself time for the one show I can't live without: LOST. Other than that, my life for the next two weeks consists of eating, doing HW, and doing college stuff (shudder).

Sleeping is a lost cause as well.

Amazing Race? LOST? Pfffft. It's all about Supernatural for me. Tonight's shapeshifter episode was 31 flavors of awesome.

Now back to that AP Psych paper...

almost LOST time...

hahaha i know how you feel helix, no time for anything annymore. Man, i feel pretty weak compared to the rest of you, i literally spent like 2 hours on my whole app (part 1, part 2, essays everything) and then i talk to kids on cc who spent triple the time of me. Oh well, i hope my supplementary materials can get me in (if not, goodbye upenn hello CU boulder).

like to party?

SexiYetiBeast, I feel so behind when I hear that everyone has already sent in part 2. I've still yet to revise my essays.

Lost is soooooooooo Good:)

ditto

what'd i miss?

haha actually i would only go to CU boulder because i get instate tuition and its the best school in colorado (sadly enough). Hopefully upenn will want me though (im going to send in not only a supp. rec but also some fresh baked cookies)

haha.. me too! i havent submitted part 1 yet either! i just don't feel comfortable sending out part 1 without sending out part 2 with it! im almost done.. i just have some last minute editing to do (would anyone be willing to read my essays and offer some feedback / help me edit.. everytime i edit it gets longer). plus i had no idea that the financial aid stuff was due on nov 1 too!

i can read ur essays if u still want someone to, i'm not sure how much help i'll be but my english teacher and guidance counselor both read my essays so i can point out if u made any of the same mistakes i did

Thanks, I'll PM you.

26e: I'll give you a bumper sticker version of last night's episode.

We learn more about Sun and Jin, and their history together through flashbacks. Sun loses her wedding ring, and turns the whole island upside down looking for it, crying her eyes out. We really get to see how much she loves her husband. Mystery man Locke turns up and tells her the only way to find something you've lost is to stop looking. Lo and behold, Sun finds her ring.

Meanwhile, Michael, Jin and Sawyer are taken to the dwelling of the other survivors. There were 23 of them to begin with, but almost all of them have been brutally murdered by the others. Michael runs off to look for Walt when he learns the direction that the others are coming from. Jin decides that he must look for his best friend, and goes off into the jungle with the big black guy with an African accent, sorry I forgot his name. They decide they must stick together if they hope to survive. They find the body of one of the survivors, and he's got a wooden speak going through his chest! We see a long line of people marching through the jungle, presumably the Others. We only see their legs as they cross the jungle, and we see someone dragging along a teddy bear (Walt maybe?). Finally, Jin and the other survivor find Michael, and decide to help him look for Walt.

Kate learns about the bottle that washed up on shore with the messages inside. She furiously opens it, combing through the messages to look for a message to Sawyer, or maybe from Sawyer, (i'm a bit confused about this part). It's pretty obvious that she's upset she didn't get to say goodbye to the guy.

I'm probably forgetting something, but that's the jist of it. It's more like an essay than a bumper sticker version, but so much happens on these episodes.

26e, if you saw the episode, then I just made myself look like an idiot :D

Sorry for hijacking the thread. Carry on with your intellectual college discussions!

"It's more like an essay than a bumper sticker version"
um, yeah. but still, it helps. too bad i missed it. and you dont look like an idiot to me, just talk to the people who DID see it.

and if anything, that intellectualised the thread ;)
