I submitted Part 1 online at: 9/28/2006 9:48:00 PM E.S.T. I sent in the signature form the next day.
The postcard was postmarked on Oct 3rd.

I got an email instead of a postacard.... Im international though... 10 days after I sent my stuff...

I know one person who does interviews here in my city.... should I contact him or should I wait for him to contact me?... Im basically the only one from my city applying ED.

I didn't request an interview. I sent in my form 1A toward the beginning of September, and an alum recently e-mailed me for an interview.

chaotic: interviews are held starting november-december.

What is this signature form you guys are talking about?

You need to sign a signature form. It should prompt you to send it in once you submit the online app part I

If I am applying via paper application, is the signature form in the application packet, and should I send that in with part 1?

what if you dont send the whole ED online app until Oct 31st? then do they still send you a "signature" form?

you do not get sent a signature form. When you are logged on to your online application, click on "downloadable forms" (where they have the teacher rec forms, guidance counselor rec form etc). One of the files there is called the "certification form"...this is the signature form they are talking about. You just print it out and mail it to them whenever you submit part I.

I am not ONE HUNDRED percent sure about this, briguy3126, (as I am applying online not by paper) but I think that if you are applying by paper you don't need a signature form, because you are signing everything in the paper app. They want the signature form from people applying online so they can have an actual signature that you are applying ED, that your work is your work, etc since online you can type out your signature but it is not the same.

Ok yeh that makes sense. Thanks for the input. Oh and by the way, I would appreciate it if everyone says a prayer for me every night that I get accepted.

If you check off applying for financial aid, will they wait for the package? I checked it but am not applying for it anymore. Should I call them and tell them?

wow...ur math skills are amazing. it's 63 days. oh wait, nvm, maybe u just mistyped. excuse me for dissing you. i just got owned. -_-

what do u guys mean by part 1? is this on the penn specific app or what? im going the common app route and I dont see a part 1. I am blind and/or stupid?

Excel: Apparently, that isn't the case because mine is scheduled for tomorrow afternoon.

No No No Send In Part I Immediately So That You Get Contacted For Your Interview.

Getting The Decision Online Is Going To Be The Scariest Thing In The World!!!!1

what do u guys mean by part 1? is this on the penn specific app or what? im going the common app route and I dont see a part 1. I am blind and/or stupid?

same question... if im doing common app plus supplement do i have to submit part 1??
do i just submit the common app and the supplement or are there other things i have to do?

Part 1A refers to the Penn application.

For the common app you submit the additional Penn supplementary. Thats all.

Common App = Part I pretty much. You can send it in before the supplement, but the app will not be reviewed until everything is there.

Penn Supplement is the exact same thing as PartII. That's why I use the Penn application so I dont have to bother writing an extra essay. Takes 15 minutes to rewrite all the basic info and countless hours having to perfect yet another essay.

i got a confirmation from penn after i sent in my whole app but they didnt give me the info to access online decisions. i know thats not til 12/15 but has anyone else gotten their access info?
