Ok so I recieved the Penn financial aid application, and I filled out most of it but I have a few questions. When they ask for a photocopy of the Parents 2006 or 1005 Federal Income Tax Return, what exactly do they want? A 1040? Also, for the question asking about a parent’s business, are you required to send in those forms (IRS forms 1120 and 1065)? My parents own a liquor store, and the question says I need to send them both, but my parents don’t have it and have never heard of it…What am i supposed to do

How long did it take before you got it? I haven't received mine, yet.

The schools my d applied to that want the 2005 tax returns want the 1040, all schedules, and all W-2s that were filed. Same for 2006 once they're available.

If your parents own a business, they had to file some sort of business return or business supplement to the 1040. Are they a partnership, or a corporation? Or is it a sole proprietorship that allows them to simply pass through all the income and expense? Do they have an accountant? If so, ask the accountant how he/she files the business's tax information, and send those forms to Princeton.

Just call the Penn financial aid office to make sure.

Ok i'll call the fin. aid office. My parent's tax returns are a bundle of huge forms, such as the 1040 and other forms. Do i have to photocopy and send the whole thing?

Wait, so they send you the finaid form, right? You don't have to request it?

If you mark down that you want to apply for financial aid on the application, they send you a fin aid app.

yea, but if u don't get on after a while, u can download it online.

Really? Do you have the link? I don't live in the US, so it might take a while. Is there a deadline for the finaid app?

good luck :)

Wait, so do common App applicants have to do this financial aid app and stuff as well?

or do we just do the CSS Profile and the FAFSA?

yea this is so confusing.

when is it due?
and i dont have my 2006 forms yet.

youre supposed to make estimates from 2006 and then send the 2006 taxes and stuff once you actually get them.

due date anyone?
