Penn financial aid

I've heard that Penn has fairly good financial aid. In the off chance that I get off the wait list, is it possible that I would get the chance to apply for financial aid? I committed to UChicago a few weeks ago, but apparently my family is too Asian and lived the American dream too well to get financial aid at UChicago. If my family makes ~$300k/yr and I have a sister also in college (albeit at an in-state public), would it be possible to get even a little bit?

Also, does anybody know approximately how many students get in off the waitlist for Wharton each year? I know that Penn's overall yield has been in the 62-64% range for a few years now.

In order to get a sense of what kind of financial aid you might expect, I suggest that you fill out your financial information in the Penn Net Price Calculator which should give you an estimate of the amount of financial aid that Penn might give you. Here is the link: Net Price Calculator.

Here is an article about Penn’s yield rate this year and the possible number of students that they may take of the waitlsit: [The Daily Pennsylvanian :: Penn sees highest yield rate since 2007](Penn sees highest yield rate since 2007 | The Daily Pennsylvanian)

@friedman You might wanna follow the 2017 Waitlist thread, which is just below this one. Some already got off the waitlist.

I would think that Wharton is on the same level as HYP for yield with almost nobody getting off the waitlist. Does anybody know for sure?
