Penn is the party ivy

…so relieved that Penn is a party school. I thought I would have to go to Drexel or something haha. I was also under the impression that Dartmouth/Cornell were the party ivies.

you guys sound funny =P

I really wanted to be in Fisher… but then I saw something about it having a substance-free environment or something like that… IS THIS TRUE? or is it just a small part of it? ugh.

They’re all officially substance free. No freshman are 21 and drugs are illegal.

Wait Fisher means that no one has drinks or anything? Or by substance, do you mean drugs?

Because Fisher sounds pretty awesome (I like the film program), but I’m pretty into partying and whatnot and I would like a dorm that isn’t alcohol-free.

Yeah… what thericwu said… anyone know?

I think substance would refer to alcohol as well…

are there freshmen/under-21 kids who still party in dorms? where are the best parties? do most people have fake ids? is there a big drug culture at penn?

I have the same question about fischer… I’m guessing that since there is some of us on here that want it without the substancefree part, there will be some people up there also like that hahaha

hopefully.

can you drink in the other two quad houses?

Clarification: Only one hall in Fisher is “substance free”. People in the rest of Fisher and the other two quad houses will most likely drink. Even though it is prohibited for students under 21, people drink in all 3 houses of the quad all the time.
