Food truck-ilicious

How is penn? I applied there this year but I doubt I’ll get in. What are the required classes?

Awww, I miss the Fruit Lady.
IceCreamIsYummy, have any food truck recs? So far I’ve only tried the Indian and Mexican ones on Spruce.

And Penn is fantabulous!

And you can find all CAS requirements here -> http://www.college.upenn.edu/curriculum/policies/2010sectors.php .

@alu_teothc: There are some great food trucks tucked in that enclave next to Pottruck. For Chinese, Kim’s is extremely popular and you’re bound to find a line there. For falafel and Mediterranean, I personally like to go to Hanan’s on 38th between Walnut and Spruce. I also tried this Mexican truck next to KoJa on 38th and Walnut which was pretty good (but slightly expensive)!

That Mexican truck I think you are refering to is Don Memos, and it is delicious.

Thanks, FightingQuaker.

Also, the original intention of this thread was to have each user post a descriptive adjective about Penn in succession. But this is okay too.

Hmmm. Eclectic.

I knew it from the title

Can any current students post some amazing restaurants in the Philly area?

Any BYO.

What part of Philly? West Philly? University? South? Center?

Apologies for the divergence and thanks for the recs, this stuff is good to know!

Penn is
… super-Rosenpartylet’sallpullall-nightersandsuffertogether-tastic
… home to armies of aggressive, bagel-devouring, garbage-rummaging squirrels
… near Beijing and New Delhi (yep!)
… warm and fuzzy
… where Stouffer Hall DOMINATES, yes DOMINATES
… where you boogie with MObama and chill with Noam Chomsky
… paradise

Four Rivers in Chinatown is one super-authentic Szechuan restaurant (or so my friends tell me). The locale itself is not much, but the food is yummy! (Yes, BYO.)

you guys are exaggerating how nice Penn is. it is a great time for most students, but the same can be said for most colleges.

I wonder why, in that case, there’s an annual horde of students called “transfers”… myself included. I guess my experiences before transferring in make me all the more grateful to now attend Penn. Applying and enrolling were the best decisions of my life.

Penn is dumb for letting <10 kids into Wharton from California this year.
