Penn Language Exemption?

So I don't really want to take a foreign language at Penn and I have been taking spanish for the past few years. The thing is that I have not yet taken the Spanish SATII (of which I only need a 650) and plan to in May (I know, I'll be the ONLY senior taking a standardized tests). I am very worried that the website policy stipulates the exam must be "part of [my] application," which it will not be. Any ideas on the matter?

I’m in the same boat; I plan on taking the spanish test in may and june and just praying it all works out. . .it can’t hurt, right?

I wouldn’t worry about it. Even if you don’t take the SATII, I am relatively sure you can take a placement test over the summer to see where you will qualify, then take a second placement test in the fall. If you place higher than SPAN140, the requirement is complete. Don’t take my word for it, though… different language departments operate differently and I have never taken Spanish

I’m pretty worried about this too. :(

Btw, is it Spanish or Spanish w/ Listening?

Isn’t there someone in Admissions or in the language department at Penn that could answer this?

I hear the language classes at Penn are pritty easy tho so dont fret too much.

I emailed the spanish department, and they said it’s ok to send in scores after being accepted.
