i have a few general questions regarding penn nursing

a) do you need extensive (or any) nursing experience?
b) what are the stats/expectations
c) what are the acceptance rates?
d) if you find you dont love nursing can you transfer to the college or wharton?

a) no nursing experience needed(although being an emt or volunteering at a hospital or something wouldn't hurt), but you should probably be able to give a solid answer for why you want to be a nurse.

b) average stats are slightly lower but still in line with overall average stats for other schools at Penn. you should still be looking at 700s on all sat sections, etc

c) not sure

d) not automatically. nursing to wharton would be pretty hard, but still doable. nursing to college is more likely if you have a solid gpa.

does anyone know how long it usually takes to be able to transfer out of the program?

i believe you have to wait at least one year before trying to transfer to another school.

The rules for transfering between schools is exactly the same for all students at Penn, including nursing students.

so you have to wait at least one year?

nursing is NOT a backdoor entrance to penn. they'll see through you so fast it's not even funny.

if you're asking all of these questions about transferring already, i don't think this is the school for you.

With regards to the backdoor admissions (not to anyone in particular, just in general)...

Do you really think that you (ie hypothetical person) would be the first person to try to find a backdoor to admission in the school of your choice? If not, do you really think the school would be stupid enough to let it continue?

lol @ chillax, what a tool.
